So today I decided to check up on some more horror games to get ready for October Horror Night for my Justin.TV channel. I came upon two new games that will be coming out soon, and I much rather want to play these first.
Title: Silent Hill: Homecoming
Platform: PC, 360, PS3
Release Date: 09-30-08
Game Description:
Silent Hill: Homecoming marks the sixth story in the Silent Hill mythos, and introduces a new protagonist to the mysterious town. The story follows Alex Shepherd, returning to his hometown of Shepherd's Glen to investigate the sudden disappearance of his brother and the strange occurrences taking place around town. Shepherd unravels a tale that takes him from his boyhood home to the fog-shrouded streets of Silent Hill, facing the darkest horrors of his soul to find his missing brother.
This game features all-new graphics that bring the fear and terror of Silent Hill alive like never before. Alex must survive the terrible denizens of Silent Hill using an all-new enhanced combat system that provides a wide array of attacks and counters. Along the way, Alex will encounter a variety of weapons to battle these horrific monsters and solve deadly puzzles, discovering the darkest secrets of Silent Hill. Silent Hill: Homecoming also features an all-new soundtrack by acclaimed series composer Akira Yamaoka.
Title: Dead Space
Platform: PC, 360, PS3
Console Release Date: 10-14-08
Game Description:
Gamers step into a third-person sci-fi survival horror experience that promises to deliver the ultimate in psychological thrills and gruesome action. Set in the cold blackness of deep space, the atmosphere is soaked with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror. In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living nightmare when he learns that the ship's crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation. He must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive.
I still would like to play Condemned just for the experience, but I don't know if I'll have the time to play it at all this year or not. Both October and November month will have the biggest gaming launch for this year that I want to play. I haven't and will not forget Condemned though, but the game will have to wait for quite awhile.
